The History

From Humble Beginnings to a National Legacy Rumah Makan Pagi Sore was founded in 1973 by H. Lismar and H. Sabirin, two friends from Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, who shared a passion for Minang cuisine. Starting as a small restaurant on Jalan Jend. Sudirman in Palembang, the business quickly gained popularity for its authentic dishes and warm hospitality.

The founders expanded their reach across Palembang, opening branches in locations such as Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Jalan Mayor Zen, and Komp. Ilir Barat Permai. By 1990, they had established a branch in Indralaya KM. 35, followed by Teluk Gelam in 1995. In 2003, the Jalan Jend. Ahmad Yani branch marked a turning point, with management divided between the founders, though both remained under the "Pagi Sore" trademark.

Building on their success, the next generation brought RM Pagi Sore beyond Palembang to Jakarta and Bangka Belitung. In 2006, the first Jakarta branch opened on Jalan Rawamangun Muka Timur, followed by several
more in Cipete, Kalimalang, Cempaka Putih, and Kemang, as well as in Tangerang City. Simultaneously, the H. Lismar family expanded to Lubuk Linggau, Bangka Belitung, and Bandung.
